Tot School

The bulk of this blog will revolve around the time I spend playing and learning with my daughter. About a year and a half ago I was looking for unstructured ideas that my LO and I could do together. I stumbled across this wonderful website:


It was exactly what I was looking for. She describes tot 'school' as focused playtime with your tot with the goal of exposing your little one to early learning skills. My daughter, whom I will refer to here as Luv Bug, and I have been tot schooling since. If you get a chance to check out the site, head over to her tot tray posts. We do this weekly, 5-6 trays sometimes based on a theme, other times just things I think she'll enjoy.
Once a week, I plan to post what we did the previous week. I'll include pics and the posts will be less wordy, I promise.

Attempting to blog

Starting a blog is something I've been thinking about doing for awhile now, but I was a bit apprehensive about it. I want to document my LO's life but I'm very protective of her privacy and safety. I decided I'll go ahead for now but I've set some strict guidelines for myself: I will never use her real name or any personal information about her. When I include photos, I will not show her face.If blogging begins to take time away from my family, I will discontinue it. I know that this sounds like it will be incredibly boring and it probably will be at first, but my hope is to have a fun record of her early years that she will cherish when she is older.
